Vic Welsh Rehearsals - Ymarferiadau Vic Welsh

Victoria Welsh Choir rehearses every week in two locations which are 150 kilometres apart - is this a record? They are:
  • St Edward's Anglican Church in Edinburgh Road in the Melbourne suburb of Blackburn South, and
  • The Uniting Hall, on the Corner of Laurel and High Streets, in the Bendigo suburb of Golden Square
Rehearsals run from 7.30 to 9.30pm and are followed by a cuppa.  Melbourne rehearsals are held on Mondays, usually preceded by a Welsh pronunciation class, and on Wednesdays, preceded by a Côr Bach rehearsal.  Bendigo rehearsals are on Thursdays.  Visitors are welcome at both places.

Initial learning of our parts (and last-minute revision!) can be done at home, using specially prepared recordings in which each part is audibly highlighted, and which can be played on a CD or MP3 player or computer.  This enables us to use precious time on rehearsal nights to focus on putting the four parts together with the right balance and adding the final polish.
